The project argues against the simplified equation of faux fur with ecological virtue. Synthetic fur is built from petroleum-based fibers; through wear and washing, synthetic textiles can release persistent microfibers into water systems. Against that, this work positions traceable natural fur as a slow-fashion material: long-lived, repairable, emotionally durable, and ultimately closer to biodegradation than plastic imitation.
Its ethics are not anonymous. The material narrative is tied to Saga Furs' traceability culture and animal-welfare frameworks such as WelFur: origin, farm standards, and responsibility become part of the design surface. Luxury is proposed as a discipline of fewer things, better things, and materials that can be understood from source to afterlife.
